This is my store of choosing where I shop for all my groceries and have very good experience although today a tall cashier by the name of Michelle was very rude and unprofessional. I was purchasing 12 pack sodas on sale for $3.99. She asked if I had a coupon for the sale. I told her I hadn’t there were signs throughout the soda area. Rudely she said you need coupons or the sodas are $8.99. I told her that was too much money and I had the smiths card for sales. She said well it’s on the signs you need to download the app for coupons. I apologized hadn’t seen the small print if it was there any I only saw the price of $3.99. It was her rude tone of voice and eye rolling to the sacker to remove the sodas from the cart that got me feeling I NEVER want to shop here again. Plain rude and NO customer service skills!!! Smiths also has misleading sale signs if that was the case, At this point Albertsons is more expensive but treat you like a valued customer and I guess you pay for what you get.
They're usually nice here, but today it went off the rails. I tried to purchase an item that was plainly on sale, marked "with card." When the register wanted to charge the regular price, I asked for help. The woman told me (THREE TIMES!) that it was a digital only price. That's not what the signage says, and I could not get her to check on it or help further. So I went over and took a photo of the sign. This time I got a grunt and some action with the employees card and the register, and then she barked out "Scan it again." I scanned it again, right while she was standing there, and then she walked way. No "sorry about that," no "let's get you fixed up," no acknowledgement that I was even there. Then I saw that there was no further charge for the item at all; it looked like I was getting the item for free. When I asked about that, she just said to me "I TOLD you to scan it again!" I replied that I had scanned it, right while she had been standing there. Then she berated me twice more, each time saying "I TOLD you to scan it again!"
Nobody should be treated this way, especially a senior citizen. What ever happened to actually listening to the customer and actually checking out a price for them? I stress, I was correct about the pricing error, but I was treated like a child, and left to prove the pricing error myself. I was also lectured about my tone of voice. No customer should be spoken to with the attitude this woman displayed, especially when it turns out that they are correct, and trying their best to be polite under the circumstances. After twenty years shopping here, I'm reconsidering.
I got the best deals at Smith's which is why I go there, but for some reason it's not my most favorite place to shop. I've gotten into ordering my groceries online from Smith's. I like that better although last time they forgot the oil which was the main reason I got groceries. So I don't want to be checking my groceries every time I do it online order with them. But that's what I like to do the most either way. Best prices and so I keep going there. I understand that they're parking lot is pretty sketchy at night. I haven't noticed it myself that much. The parking lot is sketchy day at night from what I can tell.
I purchased produce here today, and when I tried to cook dinner, all of my onions and my garlic had mold and were rotting. The sell by date for one of the sacks of produce was 2 weeks out of date. The fruit seems ok, but be careful to check your produce thoroughly.
the lights in the parking lot are out. at night it is very sketchy and scary. i complained to mgt. but they didnt seem to be very concered appaerntly they have been out for awhile. its a very dangerous place to begin with because of the amount of homeless people around there.
Nice clean store with short check out lines. I just wish they'd bring back the cobb salad that was sold by the deli!
Store director doesn’t even care about her customers or her employees. Half of the employees there are so rude. where is the security when we need them?????
Exactly the grocery store that has just about everything, Nice place to shop. Probably recommend it
